Mt. Buller Field Trip

Recently, ACVET organized an exhilarating day trip to Mount Buller, bringing along 130 enthusiastic students for a taste of alpine adventure. The trip aimed to provide students with an unforgettable experience in one of Victoria’s most stunning winter destinations, while also fostering camaraderie and a sense of achievement.

The excitement started early as the students boarded the buses, all geared up for a day in the snow. For many, this was their first time experiencing the snow-covered mountains, and Mount Buller did not disappoint. Upon arrival, the crisp mountain air and panoramic views set the tone for a day full of exploration and fun.

Students had the opportunity to participate in various snow activities, from skiing and snowboarding to tobogganing and snowball fights. ACVET ensured that every student, regardless of skill level, had the support and guidance they needed to enjoy the day to the fullest. Trained instructors provided quick lessons, helping students get familiar with the slopes and snow gear, turning the day into both a fun and educational experience.
The highlight of the trip was watching the students conquer their fears and challenge themselves on the slopes, many of them tackling skiing or snowboarding for the very first time. The teamwork, laughter, and pure joy in the snow made this day trip one for the books.

As the day wound down, students gathered for a warm meal, sharing stories and memories of their snow-filled adventure. The camaraderie built throughout the day was evident, as new friendships formed, and everyone left with a sense of accomplishment.

ACVET’s day trip to Mount Buller was not just about snow sports and fun; it was about creating lasting memories and providing students with an enriching experience outside the classroom. With 130 students returning home inspired and energized, the trip was a resounding success.
