Be at least 18 years of age and have completed the equivalent of Year 12.
Participate in a course entry interview to determine suitability for the course and student needs.
English language tests such as PTE and TOEFL can be accepted. You are required to provide your results so that we can confirm they are equivalent to IELTS 6.0.
English language competence can also be demonstrated through documented evidence of any of the following:
1. Educated for 5 years in an English-speaking country; or
2. Completed at least 6 months of a Certificate IV level course in an Australian RTO; or
3. successful completion of an English Placement Test

Training and Assessment Information
This program has been developed to be delivered via classroom-based, face-to-face delivery at the delivery locations mentioned under the Delivery Site(s) section above, including a simulated environment if required, provided by ACVET. All classroom-based training will take place at ACVET’s training facilities.
You are required to attend 20 hours of classroom-based training per week over 52 study weeks (4 terms of 13 weeks each). In addition, you are expected to undertake structured self-study, which includes research for assessments, completing assessment tasks outside of scheduled training hours, and general reading. Holiday breaks are indicated in your course timetable. The course timetable will be provided in your Offer Letter and Student Agreement.
Simulated and practical activities will also form part of your training, completed in ACVET’s workshop facilities in line with industry standards. Trainers will deliver sessions using presentations, discussions, videos, role-plays, and class activities, supported by workbooks, textbooks, and access to online resources.
At the beginning of each unit, your trainer will provide the relevant learning materials and outline the assessment requirements. Assessments may include:
